Principal's Message
Crescent
Head Public School has an enrolment of 233 students. Our school's high
profile in general education excellence, sport, creative arts and information
and communication technologies involves our sense of purpose in developing
a whole school thinking culture. In a future of unpredictability students
need to be able to think creatively, critically and analytically.
At
Crescent Head Public School we believe that students can be taught to
think, and it is this belief that underlies our teaching and planning.
The whole school thinking program, which has been developed over three
years, is about equipping our students for life long learning.
The
school's role in the community is of great significance. It is truly an
inclusive community school, with parents and community members feeling
a strong sense of ownership and commitment to the broad aims of the school.
The
strengths of Crescent Head Public School include:
- a
vibrant, energetic, innovative and caring learning environment;
- a
structure that aligns clear beliefs with sound practice;
- comprehensive
planning which is based on what the school believes students should
know, be like and be able to do; and
- quality
learning being the product of extensive dialogue between teaching
staff, ancillary staff, parents and students.
